What state are you in? I think New York State has a low cost plan for the self employed (Family Health Plus, I think). You could move here. We have all kinds of handouts in New York.

Arizona has a state-sponsored health insurance plan for selfemployeds (forming a group) with somewhat lower rates. Might your state have something similar? Regards, Bill
