Sounds like the seals on the shuttle valve have failed rather than the switch. Moss seem to have a repair kit for $7.25. The switch itself isn't needed for the brakes to work, only to give a warning

If you unscrew the fitting that holds the sensor a bolt can be threaded in it's place a little teflon tape and you are good to go.
