The two "events" might be simply coincidental. Don't know how "hard" the hit. Nevertheless...of course you'd want to put the car "up" ASAP and see what part (or parts) of the car absorbed the impact

I had a no idle condition a long time ago, and it was due to a clogged fuel filter. I could get enough fuel thru at higher RPM, but not enough at low RPM. But that was with a mechanical fuel pump, an
