This one bummed me out... Anyone had this happen to them? I went to change the oil on my 1500 Midget (77) and when I removed the filter, after draining the oil, it looked like it had not had any oil

Cut it open and see. Perhaps the oil drained out of the filter while the car was parked, or perhaps the valving in the filter is keeping oil in so it doesn't leak all over your garage. (would be nice

Hi Trevor, I will cut it open, I guess, but I have never had that happen before, and the car was only sitting about an hour before I removed the filter. OTOH, I have never used that filter type befor
