Just a wild guess, but the 2 things I would check are 1. the pigtail in the distributor to make sure it isn't shorting and second, make shure you have the points installed correctly with the washers

Fitz and all, Replaced all the new "stuff" with the old. Guess what, I have plenty of spark and things are working correctly. Let me get some fuel to the two dry carbs and I may be on the road today.

Unless I am misunderstanding the definition of "high output coils", the Bosch Super coils have the "cannot be used on electronic ignition systems" qualifier in the VB catalog. The Lucas Sports coil (

I am no expert but the coil resistance on rthe Bosch and Lucas Sports coils are about 4 ohms versus 1.5 ohms on the reg coil. Therefore I would guess the Lucas coil is suspect. Unless I am misunderst

I will disagree with your statement, MSD, Holly, and Jacobs, all sell units that are used with electronic ignition systems. All of them put out between 45-100K volts, depending of course on the unit.
