Derrick, this issue is discussed ad infinitum on the Mercedes list. They like other cars, now only use Mobil 1 in new cars. Bottom line, use viscosity recommended by Ford and Mobil 1. You do not have

Actually any oil that meets the mfg specs will do as long as you change it over 3000 miles or 6 months along with the filter. Moboil 1 is about $4 or $5 a quart and gets quite expensive. As one magaz
