I noticed by accident a while back that my 79B with overdrive transmission better when I have the shifter in 3rd gear. Place the shifter in 1st, and the thing definitely idles worse. I'm guessing the

Well, my car ('79B), currently inoperative for other reasons, had some issues and we checked the timing and saw it was set at 15 degrees, instead of 10. We set it to 10 and it ran noticeably worse. W
