I've also had some success with a small pipe wrench on stubborn bolts that I no longer care about (i.e. they're to be replaced) Since it's designed to turn perfectly round objects the rounded corners

I guess I'm going to have to try the pipe wrench. I tried with vise grips and it started chewing the plug some more. I think the next plan will be to pop open the side plate and remove the filter. Si
