Someone asked what the difference between OEM and aftermarket. OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer. The are the company who supplied the part to the company when they built your car. So, Lucas

But BL did not manufacture the coil - Lucas did, and BL stuck their label on it. Thus, Lucas is the OEM part, and the BL part would have been the Genuine item.
