Along the same lines, almost everything has some sort of warning to cover the manufacturer: - read an owner's manual for a '91 Beretta sometime; there's got to be at least one 'CAUTION....' message

jim I'm sure there have been cases of cars "improperly" resting on jack stands that have lead to someone injured when the car shifted, etc. However, a car properly seated on jacks stands shouldn't (

I have had a jack stand fail. It was one of these cheap ones with the teeth that a little lever slides into to lock it in position. The little lever broke sending the jack stand plummeting down to it
