I'm very close to finally getting my 72 Spitfire on the road (inspection and front-end alignment this Saturday). Now, what grade of gas would you recommend running in a 1500cc (sorta) engine? 1492cc

I personally like to go with the original recommendation from the manual - 4 star (**) which in Canadian terms is 91 octane. I find I get no pinking and it starts, runs and accelerates better. My 2
