- My odometer has quit working. It will occasionally start for a mile or two, but most of the time doesn't move. The speedometer works fine so I know the cable is OK. What is a common source of failure

- yeah I have the same problem. my odometer worked fine then all ov a sudden I heard the gears in the gauge and then a snap and nnow no odemeter I assume that one of the gears or shafts snapped. is thi

- Someone gave an address for a VDO repair shop from Hemming's - I've also heard good things about "Hollywood Speedometer" - I believe they specialize in VDO gauges too, and are popular with the Porsch
