You could also pull one of the spark plugs and stuff a few feet of rope into the plug hole with the piston down. Turn the engine over and the rope will jam into the head and keep the engine from rot

I second the impact gun! go and pick one up, you'll be so happy you have it when you move on to the roadster. You needed it for the Sentra repair, so no need to justify that expense for the 'toy car'

Gary is right about the Scarab. They also moved the motor back about 4 inches to help with weight distribution. A good fiend Kim Blough at Idaho Z does a lot of the small block chevy to Z conversions

That was Lance Reventlow and he had nothing to do with "these" Scarabs. He was the son and heir, I believe, of the Revlon empire. His engines were built by TRACO as were his cars. Mike company?
