Found out that a prev owner had a rad rod welded so we have that corrected now. Had to removed front engine plate to straighten as bent back on gen side from wreck. Now threads are stripped in the li

In you need a couple of helicoils installed, try bringing the piece to a motorcycle shop. Since bike engines are mostly aluminum, they do heli-coiling all the time. Doug Braun '72 Spit /// spitfires@

Even though I have 3 spare aluminum ones, they are all either slanted, bent or tapered from front to back or side to side. I thought of resurfacing, but they're off as much as 1/16" on atleast one (m
