I have a 71 B with the smog stuff removed. The little tube comming out of the valve cover is blocked. (I have no idea what it originally hooked up to.) The catalogs say that the 71s take a none vente

the This should go to the carbon canister with a restricted opening 9/64 in the line. This depends on how much an opening the vented cap has, just open the tube to 9/64 and you will be OK. Bob, 71 mg
