- If the oil is dirty it is probably engine oil (thats if your engine oil is dirty, on a fresh rebuild and frequent oil changes it stays pretty clean in which case you'll have to have it dye tested) if

- Jason (and Mark too) If you are running hypoid oil in the trans... you can distinguish between the two by scent alone. If in doubt, open a bottle of your favorite 90 wt and take a sniff! Jim Gambony
