The baffle I use is just a straight piece of 12ga sheetmetal that runs parallel with the inside edge of the cutout in the stock oil pan. It starts and stops at the same location as the cutout. Seems

Well Mordy, You'll just have to slow down.....No I couldn't either. I drilled, tapped and installed a NPT plug. Kind of a pain to check the oil level, but saves a lot of compartment clean-up. Chip --

Mordy, I also run a 3 quart accusump. I have a pressure drop on fast left hand sweepers, but it only takes about a second before the accusump takes over and pressure becomes good again. Jeff

<< Pressure drops and stays low while the accumulator empties and about three seconds later the pressure is normal. I change the rod bearings after two races...and use Mobile 1. any comments? Mordy >

I don't want to stir up a hornets nest here, but all motor oils, be they mineral or synthetic, are rated by the same SAE numbers. Gear oils use a different chart. I'm not a racer but I am a synthetic
