What type of air cleaner is on the car? If you are using the early oil bath without the restrictor in the breather pipe the oil may be getting sucked in through it and into the intake. My engine was

Stu & Alan, My first suspicion is that the oil seals on the valves (especially on the intakes) are either missing, wrong, or incorrectly installed, and/or valve guides are worn. This would account fo

PS No additive is likely to help reduce oil consumption, but some are capable of clogging up passages which can lead to REAL trouble & expense far greater than oil consumption..
