- I have nothing against Permatex blue silicone, but my preference is for K&W Copper Coat, which uses adhesive properties as a seal rather than a goop/squish factor. You should use SOME sort of sealer

- I have used Indian Head Copper Head Gasket shalack. It makes a permenent bond. Clean both sides with acetone, bond the gasket to the cover first, then to the block. Do not over tighten the bolt. pau
