- Yes, that rubber cover in the engine plate is available from Moss, part # 297-495 Given that you said it disintegrated when you removed it, there is a possibility that a leak from the oil-pan gasket

- My only experience of this is with the engine completely out. I have heard others say it is just possible to do without raising the engine, but those front three bolts must be really difficult to get
