I am having a devil of a time with oil leaking out of the dipstick. I replaced the felt thingy and spread the dipstick somewhat to make it fit tighter but to no avail. I am still losing oil from here

Well, Jim right or Wrong if it works I'm going with the flow. Having the same oil leak in my midget I tried every thing to get vacuum to the vent tube on the valve cover. Seems that whatever I did it

This sort of thing can be caused by excessive crankcase pressure. As the pistons move up and down, particularly if there is some leakage past the rings, you get positive pressure inside the block. I
