There are several 1/8" NPT holes already drilled in the side of the block, in the oil gallery that runs below the distributor along the side of the block. They have hex headed 1/8" plugs installed.

The oil temp guage that I installed in my TR6 (VDO) came with a combination sensor/drain plug that fit my drain opening perfectly. All I had to do was screw in the drain plug and hook up the wire. Ir
