Up here in Ore Region of SCCA, if the car meets the criteria-safety-tires-as raced for that year ....bring it on up. And our fees are not a whole lot more than Utah's!

Old VW's of the pre-1973 variety would be welcome at CVAR events so long as they were in proper period trim (i.e. no 2000cc engines, 5-speeds, fiberglass panels, etc.). Should be prepared to 1972 or

But the Bugs didn't fare too badly - at VIR in 1966, both Bugs finished ahead of 5 Alfas, 4 Lotus-Cortinas, Tullius's Dart, and Richard Petty's Barracuda. I must admit there were still 6 Alfas ahead

Last year at either the Walter Mitty or the Atlanta Historics there was a Bug running. The crew all had this real cool Tee-Shirts that said "Team Half-Fast" and had VW bus as the logo.

The Florida Regions' Vintage Program would accept any pre 1973 VW Bugs properly production car specifications or having actual period racing history. Treaded tires (min 60-series) would be required.
