Jon, I wondered the same thing, living here in South Dakota, you will NOT be able to start a bike after letting it sit with untreated fuel in the float bowls. Just check out ANY of the bike shops aro

True Joe, it's not good to let the bike sit for MONTHS unused with gas in the float bowls, problems related thereunto are known down South here too. Hence the simple drain screws on their float bowls
