Sorry to bomb the list--has anyone used the one-piece oil pan gaskets? They're made of silicone, but I was gonna slather it with some RTV anyway--Is that overkill? Thanks in advance for your help. B

I have installed several one piece silicone gaskets on different engines. I have never used RTV on any of them and none of them leak. The hardest part has always been keeping the gasket in place whi

Thanks Ron! I'll do it that way. It's a pretty nifty looking gasket--got little metal inserts at the bolt holes and tabs at the front that actually hold the curved bit in place. Pretty slick. I'm loo
