Sheesh - nevber looked that closely at it. I can always ask the guys selling it but I would assume it might have fallen off or something. But I can tell you, it really has only done 42 miles and even

I don't think any MGB came with a rubber pad on the gas pedal; only the brake and clutch (when fitted). Larry Hoy gas pedal?

Correct. A rubber pad would make for a 'sticky' throttle action which would cause jerkiness. PaulH.
