When you say 'hot' do you mean hot as in temperature or as in powered? The reason I ask is that mine, the trigger of which controls the gas, wire feed and voltage/current to the wire, doesn't seem to

Good point. I had blocked out those very unhappy memories. I think I still have blind spots from being flashed by the hot all the time wire. I think I may have had the same brand of welder. Luckily
