- You can put a spitfire O/D tranny in if you do some modifications to add more clearance. The mods are essentially a new crossmember and some sheetmetal. It mechanically works it just doesn't fit. The

- I did the conversion to fit an overdrive to my '78 Midget last Christmas and I am really, really pleased with it. Makes such a difference to normal driving. I did post a fairly detailed description
