It was the switch being worn to the point where it required one of the washers removed. I know have OD in third and fourth. I had lost OD in third years ago as I had written and was a treat to use it

How did you manage to get the switch out and back in? Cheers, It was really not that hard (had some help from Paul Hunt). This is for my D type overdrive mind you and I think the later is different.
