FWIW, I used POR-15 on several parts in my '74 about 2 years ago. So far I haven't seen any evendence of rust, peeling, flaking, or anything nasty. YMMV, but it seems to work for me. BillG

It is my understanding that POR-15 (and some other similar products) are not UV stable. They change from black to "ugly" if exposed to the sun. Check into this before you do an outdoor gate, unless y

Friend of mine gave a talk at the club just last night ... he said that when topcoating POR-15, you *must* either sand the surface (which he said is a pain, the stuff is really hard once it sets up)

Another option (as recommended by POR) is to spray on a regular primer while the POR coat is still tacky; that seemed to have worked pretty well for me.
