Not sure who's insane, but I've never seen a new wheel bearing packed with grease. They have a light coating for protection but certainly not ready for installation. Be sure to pack them well. Pete A

Many modern cars do come with "unitized" bearings that are pre-lubed. However, Triumphs do not. So I'd say neither of you is insane, but your mechanic friend doesn't know much about Triumphs. As som
