No paint if you use regular brake fluid, it will just eat the paint. They were originally unpainted bare cast. You can powdercoat it a cast iron or aluminum color. I painted mine Stainless steel colo

The consensus is leave brake m/c natural unless silicon fluid is used then paint pink..... or powder coat as powder coating is more resistant to brake fluids. I should exercise caution when sandblast
