Don't. Use acrylic enamel. Looks better, lasts longer, and if you don't use hardener, it isn't any more toxic than Alkyd. I sprayed my B with Dupont Centari, and it came out great. The paint was $47C

An old autobody man once gave me tips on touching up paint. DON'T use the brush that comes with the touch up paint! For small scratches use a toothpick to lay the paint into the scratch-- Layer it in
