The usual method (in a body shop anyway) would be to paint the back side and edges of the door, then hang it on the car, and paint the exterior. That way, you know all the edges are covered, and it w

Glad I could be of service. Unfortunately, 99% of the cars we paint are two stage, a.k.a. basecoat/clearcoat. On that type of paint, the painters just blend the base color out into the adjacent pane

If you were able to wet sand and rub the spray paint then it was laquer. It is impossible to rub and sand enamal unless it has a hardner added to it. Touch up paint never contains a hardner. It sound

I don't think I have laquer the guy at the paint store said it was original enamel and it rubbed out nicely.I'm NOT talking about "touch up paint"Color sanding is wet sanding except you use very fine

Strange but I won't argue, how fast did it dry? Lacquer will dry in 5 minutes or less. Your point was well taken $50 sure beats $500. Another place to avoid is Maco. A good paint job will start at $1
