Hello. Could anybody tell me what the best method would be to remove paint from an old aluminum Jon boat? I'm open to any suggestion. Thanks alot for any help you could give me? R.S.

Try oven cleaner on a small section. It will take off the paint; the question is whether or not it will damage the aluminum.

There are a number of different medias used in removing paint these days. Plastic, walnut hulls are some of the few I have heard of. It is similar to sand blasting but it does not warp the metal. You

Actually, I'm not sure oven cleaner will take of paint; I use it to clean circuit boards all the time-it cleans all organic materials off, andcluding any writing/ink that is not silk screened on. do
