I have refurbished and painted steering wheels with high gloss black Dupli-Color engine enamel. Great results and durable. I don't see why it wouldn't be good on knobs too if you can repaint the let

I repainted my choke and starter cable on my 63 sprite, I then used white-out, (the stuff you use for typing errors) on the letters. You do a little bit of the letter at a time, wiping off any exces

Stay away from Krylon on bakeolite. It tends to flake off even when sanded beforehand. At least it did on my heater blower housing. I have had good luck with semigloss black flexi paint. This is the
