- What determined whether a 2000's rear panel read "Datsun" versus "Fairlady"? Since the average ooglin' Joe calls my car a Fairlady, I wish I could convert my emblem. BP - '69 2000 Brian L Patton 803.

- Or for that matter, 1600? I have seen pictures with the "fairlady" emblem on 1600s and I have also had people have calling my car a "fairlady" but my roadster does not have the term fairlady anywhere

- AFAIK, Japanese (and Euro?) roadsters were labeled Fairlady - I think is has a nicer ring than Datsun 2000, esp since I already have a 240Z - sure, I guess I could call it a fairlady as well, but the

- For what it is worth, Fairlady is the home market name. The emblems were available from a number of sources and should fit the same holes as the Datsun emblems. One word of caution, there seems to be
