Even on my '73 BGT I had to lift the motor off it's mount about 1-1.5" to drop it down into place. But fully mounted there are no clearance issues. I've have the complete 'big bore' system on my year

That's what I was afraid of. Either lift the motor a bit or remove the steering column -- or both. Did you end up dropping it in or lifting it up from the bottom? LD Even on my '73 BGT I had to lift
