You can mount almost any size you want in the kick panels, from what I've read. Mounting depth appears to be the limiting factor in the doors, unless you use spacers. Optimum for a B, again from what

I am gonna get another map pocket for the drivers side. Turn the pocket upside down, and cut that to mount my speakers. I figure I can get some nice 6" in there and have plenty of clearance. With the

FWIW the speakers that were in my B when I bought it apparently came with factory spacers. They are plastic rings, and about 3/8-inch thick. The brand is SoundTech. So you could try asking for spacer
