Hi Mike, This is a special plug that has no taper to the threads, a lot like bolt threads, that seals with a fiber washer under it's head. It's real close to a 3/8" pipe thread or nearly the same as

Mike You can use the plug from the head on the radiator but you will need the adaptor for the block. The probe is too long and will bottom out and most likely pop without the adaptor. If your 1275 al
