what year is your car? (how many fuses are there?) Did you check you backup light switch on the transmission? If you have an early car like mine, the switch often dies and costs ~$65 I think. Ulix U

The only thing between the fuse box and the reversing lights is a couple of bullet wire connectors and the reverse switch mounted on the gearbox, so there isn't much to fail by shorting except the w

AH, I knew there was something I forgot. I can't FIND the switch on the transmission. The Haynes manual is significantly less than clear on the matter. The only cable I can see running to the gearbox

er, well, kind of. I took out the fuse & checked it with an ohmmeter. The ohmmeter showed no short when I clipped the wires together. I don't think I did all that at once, I think (cause it's been mo

Shannon, The switch is on the top of the transmission, to the right of the gear shift lever. If you take the cover off, you can see where the wires connect to the switch. Ulix __/__,__ ..............
