Thanks all for my Carb question. Today I got the tranny cleaned enough to find a serial (?) of MA 35844. Would anybody in spidget land have an idea of the approx. build date? The engine is 12CJ/Da/H

Most tranny's I have come across have a boss on the rear of the bell housing near the seam of the tail shaft section. That boss frequently has a date stamp on it. If you were to stand the tranny on

Hi Roger, Clean off the small socket receiver on the lower left side of the trans, and there will be a build date stamped on it, on the back side of it. Small numbers, easy to miss. Will be DD MM YY.

Thanxs to all that replied to my question. I burnt up a pressure washer cleaning up 35 years of grease but I did find a date, actually two of them. The flat by the socket on the left was Y. 65, under
