Quick, Which side of the brake shoes does the top spring in the rear brakes go? Outboard or inboard. I am doing the rear brakes in the Midget today and this one has always puzzled me. Currently they

Inboard. The top spring has a square *notch* so to speak, to it. This notch goes upwards to clear the hub. It is best to hook the top spring on the shoes first, stretch them over the hub, then instal
