Hi Terry, I always thought it'd be great to own a RHD Z. No space or time for one right now! I looked at your pics and I'm curious about the L20 engine. Was it just Japanese Z's that had this 2000cc

The L20A was the base Z model engine in Japan because of lower tax for engines under 2000 cc. They even had it in the 280ZX. For the Z31 300ZX they had a 2 liter V6 called VG20E. The larger cc export

It may be for taxation reasons in Japan. Their large luxury sedans like the Cedric came with L20A engines too (not all of them though) and they even have VG20E engines in later Cedrics rather than V
