Hey folks... I am pulling my motor out to do some "stuff" and was wondering... Since I am removing my heater core can I remove all of the hoses including the one from the waterpump. If I remove that

Sounds like an easily reversed modification to me. The only way to tell what's best for your carbs /enigne mods ("stuff" as you say <G>) /climate/ etc is to try it & find out. Laurie :-) 70 SPL311 69

I think that the coolant lines actually cool the intake manifold. The heat from the block and exhaust manifold build up in the aluminum intake manifold and it gets hotter than the rest of the motor.
