Perhaps one of you Triumphant historians can tell me: When did the first racing TR2 appear in competition? (anywhere but especially in North America, and in any type of organized competition)? Thanks

According to Robson's "The Works Triumphs" it was May 20, 1953 when Ken Richardson to Jabbeke in an attempt to beat the Sunbeam's records. In March of 1954 one placed 6th overall in the Lyons-Charbon
