- Sounds like the cap is too short. I ran into the same problem yesterday when I was pressure testing a couple of spare radiators.

- you need a rad cap for an MGA. there was a time that the distance between the top edge of the rad cap neck or rad filler (what ever ya wanna call it?) and the bottom area where a cap seats was deepe

- I had the same problem on my Daimler, the cap was too short and didn't seal. Stant actually had a listing for the Daimler cap which solved the problem. J -- Original message --

- Could be, I think there is more than one design + a bad but correct fitting cap would not pressurise the system and thus the boiling point would be a lot lower than otherwise. Have Daniel
