Somebody on the list (David Riker I think...) has a pretty descriptive webpage for how he installed his stereo. As I recall, he put it in the speaker hole somehow. I can't find the bookmark though.

I ran up against the same issues as you, plus the fact that it would be virtually impossible to change a CD... There might exist a head unit with remote changer, but I wasn't going to shell out that

I have an off the shelf tape/radio player in both Sprites now, and I always used an off the shelf unit in the past. Yes still listening to tapes (cassette) but I will NOT throw out my 8 track player

Frank, Kenwood makes a CD player with knobs now. Model number Ez500. It has 25 watts RMS per channel and even looks old school. I just put one in one of my LBCs and I'm very happy with it. Love those
