Hello all, When i had my floors put into the Spitfire, there was a problem removing one of the rear radius arms and the busing was torn out and needed replacing. I went ahead and bought new bushings

I had to burn mine out with a propane torch. http://www.justdrive.ca/02/09-07/photo.html I got the rubber soft enough that I was able pop them out. I don9t know if this was the best way, but it work

An auto machine shop can press them out easily. Put lots of anti seize compound on the new ones before you press them in. You may need to replace them again in about 30 years. :-) Dave When i had my

Pressed mine out easily with a vice and two sockets. Installation of the new ones was even easier with lubricant (I prefer silicone spray for this). I went with polyurethane bushings myself. When i h

I second this procedure. I installed poly bushings as well, and silicon lubricant is essential to get them in easily. Adam '70 Spit Mk3

The best way is to burn them out. A propane torch works well, heat it until they begin to burn and push them out.
