A welded diff would be okay for a race car, but not on the street. Trust me, I once shimmed a limited-slip so tight it was a locker, and it was nothing but a pain to drive. Gordon Renton, WA 1967 200

Even in a race car, a locked rear is a bit of a handful... until you learn how it wants to be driven. LSD, on the street, at 40%, is good. Toby

Thanks to all for the info. Consensus is that the welded rear is not really streetable. To all that inquired about the 4.11 gears, I don't know presently if I will be selling them. Time will tell. Ch

Since it was a long weekend I thought that it would be a good time to change out my leaky differential gasket. I took the driveshaft out, unbolted all the front bolts, and can't get the danged thing
